Every year, the City of Vancouver joins communities and organizations to raises public awareness on homelessness issues - thus, Homelessness Action Week : October 8 to October 14.
The Advocacy Office of St. Paul's together with the First Baptist Church in cooperation with the City of Vancouver annually provide some of the much needed services for the homeless and poverty situations all under one roof. An initiative called "Connecting the Ends".
Date: Monday, October 9th, (Thanksgiving Day) at First Baptist Church from 10am to 3pm
Some services we provide include:
-Free Optometrist & glasses
-Free Hearing tests
-Dental Hygiene Advice
-Free haircuts
-Income Tax filing
-Advocacy
-Free Sandwich Lunches
-Coffee, Tea and sweet treats
What we need:
-Socks
-Bread for Sandwiches
-Sandwich Fillings
-Sweet Treats
If you wish to donate any of the above items, please bring them to the Advocacy Office.
We are also looking for volunteers to prepare sandwiches after the 11am service/coffee & tea fellowship on Sunday October 8, 2017.
