Join us on Zoom on Thursday September 23, 6-7pm, for the next online cooking demonstration of the Spring Street Community Kitchen, a partnership between St. John’s Anglican Church, Port Moody and Inlet United Church.
Our special guest chef is Anitha Tindyebwa from GRIT Coffee House in Port Moody. Anitha is an international student at SFU from Tanzania. Growing up, she enjoyed cooking with her grandmother who loves to use coconut milk in every recipe. One day, Anitha was making squash and decided to add some coconut milk and it turned out perfectly well, starting her on a journey of experimenting with soups! Anitha will be demonstrating her soup-making skills with us, just in time to welcome the fall season. As always, there will be opportunities to ask questions and share conversation with others.
Donations raised in support of our Spring Street Community Kitchen are being re-gifted to the communities we serve. Funds raised for this gathering will be gifted to Port Moody Elementary School to support food programs that they offer to students.
**Pre-registration is required for this free event** – please email your name and email address to SpringStreetCommunityKitchen@gmail.com to be included on the list to receive Zoom connection information.
We invite you to like and follow the Spring Street Community Kitchen at our Facebook page, where you will find links to videos of past kitchens as well as recipes!
