Pride season is nearly upon us. There will be several events taking place at the Cathedral over the Pride weekend.
The Cathedral has an official entry in the Pride Parade. There are 40 spots available in our delegation. Any clergy or parishioners from the Diocese of New Westminster are welcome to walk in the delegation and attend any of the related events.
Before the parade, the Cathedral will hold a Pride Service, with Communion at 8am. Following the service a Community Pride Breakfast will be served. (Suggested Donation $5) Materials will be available to make signs to carry in the parade.
The Cathedral will also be one of the venues for the Spirit Pride 2019 conference. On Saturday August 3, keynote speakers and panel discussions will take place at the Cathedral. The day will close with a concert featuring the Universal Gospel Choir directed by Lonnie Delisle.
On Sunday August 4, the Cathedral's St. Brigid's service will be the closing service for Spirit Pride 2019. Matthias Roberts will be preaching at this service.
10 spots in the Cathedral's parade delegation are available to Spirit Pride participants
