You are invited to join Seattle-based composer and worship leader, Lacey Brown, for a full day exploring the art of transformational worship and music.
Come and get equipped with practical tools and resources, come and wonder in holy curiosity as we engage in conversation, come and be renewed as we create and worship together.
The workshop is open to any and all who long to dive deeper into the work of innovation within your church context.
What to Expect
Together we will:
- work on arranging and re-imagining hymns
- learn some tools and practice song writing for congregational singing
- learn about using music as a liturgical thread
- share resources and learn some new songs
- sing!
- plan and create a closing worship service together
What to Bring
Your willingness to sing, any music resources that you love to use, your openness to trying worship in a new way.
Details
The cost is $20 per person, lunch not included. You're welcome to bring your lunch, or to try one of the great spots to eat close to the Cathedral. Some tickets may be available at the door. There is limited registration, so please reserve your spot in advance.

About the Leader
Lacey Brown is a percussionist, singer/songwriter, teacher, and worship leader from Seattle, WA. She holds a B.A. and a M.M. in Percussion Studies and enjoys performing and teaching an array of instruments and styles of music.
Lacey currently works as Music and Worship Director at Church of the Apostles, where she has the joy of designing worship with the community, directing the music as well as writing and recording original music and reimagined ancient chant and hymns for worship.
She also heads up a band called Poor Clare, performing original music and poetry inspired by the mysteries of God and life. Her music can be found here: www.poorclaremusic.com
Born and raised in Washington state, Lacey is passionate about the Northwest and loves spending time in nature whenever she can.
