Sermon preached by the Very Reverend Peter Elliott, retired Dean of the Diocese of New Westminster and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral at the Solemn Mass celebrated on the Fifth Sunday After Pentecost at St. James, Vancouver. The celebrant was the Reverend Fr. Neil Gray who was celebrating his 40th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Fr. Neil served congregations in the Diocese of New Westminster for 30+ years, most notably St. Paul's in Vancouver's West End and Church of the Holy Trinity, White Rock. In retirement he is an Honorary Assistant at St. James.
