The parish of St. John the Divine in Maple Ridge worshipped in a slightly different way the morning of March 15, the third Sunday of Lent. Of course this was before the March 17 communique from Archbishop Skelton suspending in-person worship and parish and diocesan events and activities.

Worship was set up in the parish hall, which easily accommodates enough chairs set at 2 meters apart. Although renovated and rejuvenated, the church building where the Parish of St. John the Divine worships is the oldest Anglican church in the diocese and is not exactly roomy.

Morale was high, people enjoyed one another’s company at a distance, and after the service we researched a virtual worship service platform in case it’s needed in the future.
