The Parish of St. Aidan’s & St. Bartholomew’s is pleased to announce that it is getting into the adoption business!
On November 1st, 2011 the parish officially began the Adopt-a-Shingle campaign which will run until February 1st, 2012.
St. Bart's community has had to replace the roof to the tune of $10,000. The goal in the Adopt-a-Shingle campaign is to recoup at least these costs and perhaps gather a little extra for ongoing programs and ministries.
After doing a diligent headcount, they concluded that precisely 1000 shingles went into the new roof. That is 1000 shingles that need adopting. Their goal is to find a home for each and every one. No Tile Left Behind!
The shingles you adopt will never need to be fed, clothed or sent to college. You can adopt these shingles for the low, low price of $10 each! Adopt early and adopt often!
You can begin the adoption process in a number of ways. You can address a cheque to St. Bartholomew’s specifying Adopt-a-Shingle in the memo line for the amount corresponding to the number of shingles you would like to adopt. Tax receipts will be issued for any donations over $10.
