Andrew Weaver, MLA spoke to 100 folks gathered at 7:30pm,  October 14, the second night of the Earth and Sprit Series which is held each Wednesday evening in October at St Anselm's.

Andrew spoke as a scientist and MLA on the topic "Climate Change: Political Challenges and Opportunities.

The central question he left with us is: "Do we in the present generation believe we owe anything to future generations?"

He was speaking to our hearts and minds and decision making. Given that it is future generations who will bear the outcome of climate change in real ways in their lives, are we who live now in the decisions we make today, making them with future generations in mind..our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Series continues the following two Wednesdays, October 21 and 28. Click the link for more information.

The Eco-Justice Unit also continues our partnership with St Anselm's in gathering over homemade soup at 5:45 at St Anselm's in building relationships among folks who are wanting to work together in ecological/justice concerns. Please e-mail Margaret Marquardt, Chair, Diocesan Eco-Justice Unit if you would like to join us over the meal.
