Ashes on the Go

On Ash Wednesday, February 22, 2023, Christ Church Cathedral’s Assistant Curate, the Reverend Adam Dawkins spent part of his first Ash Wednesday as a priest out on the corners of Burrard and West Georgia Streets in downtown Vancouver offering Ashes to Go. The sign reads “All are welcome to receive ashes today – whatever your faith tradition on spiritual practice.”

The Reverend Dawkins reported that approximately 125 people stopped by to receive the imposition of ashes (on the go).
