The Spring Retreat of the BC Young Anglican Youth Movement will take place at St. George’s, For Langley, on April 1-3.
The weekend’s theme is entitled “The 30 Hour Famine: Mind, Body & Spirit,” and young people 13 through 25 are invited. The youth will have a meal just before midnight Friday, and then consume only soup broth and fruit juice for the next 30 hours. They will wake to a large breakfast Sunday morning before attending the church service at St. George’s and then head home.
The cost is $50, of which $35 will be donated to the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund. While young people do not have to collect pledges for participating in the event, if they do the money will go to the PWRDF.
