A portrait of Gordon Youngman, Anglican AIDS activist, is part of the exhibit, taken by Jemma Biro

The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) and the Anglican Church of Canada have launched a tour of an HIV and AIDS photo exhibit titled Facing AIDS, Facing Reality.

Christ Church Cathedral has been chosen to host this exhibit November 28 to December 15.

The exhibit will be on display in the chancel section of the sanctuary (upper level at the north end) at

690 Burrard Street
during the hours when the church is open to the public and for a limited time before and after worship and arts events. A special day of observance is planned for December 1st, World AIDS Day.

The exhibit aims to go beyond statistics by showing the faces of people with AIDS and linking personal stories with a global perspective through photography.

Christ Church Cathedral's Graphic Designer Jemma Biro has contributed two of her photos to the exhibit, including a portrait of Anglican AIDS activist Gordon Youngman (above).

The photo exhibit tour began this fall in Kingston, Ontario, and will end its journey in June 2007 at General Synod in Winnipeg.
