Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Whonnock(Maple Ridge) has honoured the 60 year anniversary of PWRDF with a 60 days of “Change for Change campaign”
Gifts of change are hung each Sunday (in small colourful bags ) on a tree of life that came to the Parish of Church of the Holy Spirit, Whonnock as branches and is now blossoming.
We raised money for a goat, sheep, chickens, a cow and 2 pigs as well as seeds and tools. All this from a very small congregation who opened their hearts to share.
Each week we are inspired by a true story of how the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) has made an impact in peoples lives around the world.
On Easter Sunday the tree blossomed with colourful words hung by the congregation honouring what these gifts have meant both to the receiver and the giver, and of course a last story that outlined my own experience in Uganda.
One of the lessons of our giving was that we are in reality giving to Christ and he will guide our gift to those in deepest need as our stories illustrated.
