A Celebration of New Ministry will be held at St Mark, Ocean Park on Thursday, October 10th at 7:30pm to mark the beginning of the Rev.Denise Doerksen's ministry as Assistant Priest. The Ven Stephen Rowe, Archdeacon of Fraser will officiate and the Rev. Paul Woehrle, Rector of St David, Delta will preach.
Also a reminder that the Rev. Expedito Farinas' induction as Rector of St Mary, South Hill will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 15th at 7pm. Dean Peter Elliott will officiate and the Venerable Dr. Ellen Clark-King will preach and preside.
The Rev. Ian Nestegaard Paul's induction as Priest-in-Charge of St Bartholomew's, Gibsons will take place on Thursday, October 24th at 6:30pm. The Ven Lynne McNaughton, Archdeacon of Capilano will officiate and the Rev. Greg Mohr, ELCIC Bishop of BC will preach.
St Barnabas, New Westminster will welcome the Rev. Emilie Smith when she is inducted as the next Incumbent on Wednesday, October 30th at 7pm. Dean Peter Elliott will officiate and the Rev. Dr Angus Stuart will preach.
The Ven John Bailey, Archdeacon of Westminster and Rector of Holy Trinity Cathedral (HTC), New Westminster will retire effective Thursday, October 31st. Save for a very short period of time, John has exercised his entire priestly ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster and he has been unstinting in his contribution and service to its ministry. The Parish of HTC will celebrate John's years of ministry with a celebratory potluck dinner on Friday, October 25th and a special celebration of the Eucharist on October 27th.
On Tuesday, November 5th at 7pm the Revd Dale Yardy will be inducted as Incumbent of Holy Trinity Cathedral, New Westminster. Dean Peter Elliott will officiate and the Rev. Fr Stuart Soley, a former colleague of Dale’s from Australia, will preach.
The Rev. Roberta Fraser concluded her ministry at St Anselm's and Anglican campus ministry on September 30, 2013 when she will go on the Bishop's List during a period of transition. Roberta has served these two points since 2002. St Anselm's will be entering a period of interim ministry and self-study.
