Bishop Michael has modified the temporary appointment of Rev. Sarah Tweedale as Priest in Charge for St. Martin's, North Vancouver from half-time to three-quarter time employment, effective December 1st.
The Bishop has appointed Rev. Denise Doerksen as Interim Priest -in-Chargefor the Parish of St. George, Maple Ridge effective full-time January 1, 2012 following the departure of Incumbent Rev. Roger Cooper to the Diocese of Kootenay. Denise's husband Allen started the move west from Qu'Appelle Diocese when he accepted the position of Missioner for the Central Fraser Valley and Priest-in-Charge of St. Matthew’s, Abbotsford.
The Bishop is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. John Firmston as Incumbent of St. Barnabas, New Westminster effective March 1st. John’s term extension at St. Mary the Virgin, South Hill ends on February 29th, so the timing is perfect. The previous incumbent was Rev. Neil Fernyhough, currently on leave.

Also, the Bishop has appointed the Ven. Andrew Pike full-time through Easter (April 8) as Priest in Charge and trustee for St. John’s, Shaughnessy. This is effective January 1st. Prior to that, Andrew assisted the Ven. John Stephens as Priest in Charge; while John is stepping down from that role, he continues as Archdeacon of Vancouver and Rector of St. Philip’s, Dunbar.
