Strategic Group to hire consultant
Diocesan Council has authorized spending $50,000 to hire a consultant to lead its Strategic Working Group through a two-year program to create a strategic plan for the diocese.
The group is chaired by Dean Peter Elliott and includes the chairs of the diocese's standing committees, archdeanery representatives, the diocese's three senior staff people, and the bishop.
Its job is to provide overall direction for the diocese and was originally going to report this fall or next spring. The need for a strategic plan came up several times in meetings held by the Diocesan Task Force on Physical Resources.
