The DYM annual Winter Retreat will be taking place family day weekend (Feb. 5-8th, 2016) at Sorrento Centre. We are pleased to announce that this year's guest speaker will be our Diocesan Indigenous Ministries Coordinator, Brander McDonald.
When the world around us is tumultuous and difficult, what is the value of living in the moment? When we are surrounded by a multitude of imagined possibilities and dreams of what could be, how do we stay connected to the world as it really is? How can we connect with God’s world and see the wonder and challenge it presents? Young people are often under pressure to plan for the future, learning skills and making sacrifices that will be of benefit later. During this retreat, we will think about how we can be present, here and now, and be open to the world around us.
The retreat is open to youth (13-18) and young adults (19-25) as well as their adult leaders and chaperones. Registration and information are now available on the retreat website.
