Sunday, September 22nd was the first day of fall for 2013 and also one of the rainiest days of the year but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the thousands who participanted in the Walk for Reconciliation held in downtown Vancouver that morning.
In response to then-Bishop Michael Ingham's May 19th request, many parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster suspended Sunday morning services, gathered in a packed Christ Church Cathedral at 8am for a Liturgy of Reconciliation and then participated in the Walk for Reconciliation at 10am. The majority, displaying their church banners and sending a message of healing and encouraging reconciliation.
