Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
In the way we abuse God’s creation, we humans have a lot to account for.
“This is about what we’re doing to nature, not about what nature is doing to us.”
What we are facing with COVID-19 virus is the result of our disregard for bio-diversity and wildlife. The article draws upon experts who ask us to look at our policies as Canadians regarding the decrease in bio diversity as well as what is happening in our world in disregarding this.
I would encourage any who would want to at this time of Earth Day, to send an email to the Canadian Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson who is also the member of Parliament for North Vancouver, and let him know that you’re part of the Anglican Church and your commitment to Canada being a leader in the care of all aspects of creation.
It is amazing to me that for the most part, our whole world is seeking to work together in combatting COVID-19 virus. If we can do this to combat the devastation of the virus, then surely we can come together to combat the destruction of our environment.
I have also included a YouTube video of Buffy Sainte-Marie's song, "Carry It On"

Scientists believe the loss of natural habitats, as the result of things like clear-cutting for palm oil production, is contributing to the spread of diseases like COVID-19. (Roni Bintang/Reuters)
