Earth Day is No Longer Relevant

As I read the article that is linked below, at the end of reading it, I thought of the words at the end of a reading of Scripture; “Hear what the Spirit is saying.”

And I responded “Thanks be to God.”

The clarity of these words are what we would often speak of as prophetic. It was the gift of his son’s insight and knowledge that gave him the impetus to commit himself to taking climate change seriously and writing this article.

The Spirit is speaking to us through so many voices calling us us to have the courage to do the very tough things in our country so that all of creation is honoured here in Canada and with those vulnerable to the effects of climate change around the world.
