The Enneagram, a graph of nine points, is a Christian tool which integrates modern psychological theory with spiritual traditions and practice.

According to Enneagram theory, young children take on one of nine patterns of behaviour, feeling and illusionary thought. These patterns earn the love, security and sense of power they need to survive. While one of these nine ‘masks’ helps people to navigate life in childhood and early adulthood, eventually these personas prevent them, and those around them, from living fully.

The workshop will be presented by Eyre-Gray and co-facilitator Rosa Flinton-Brown who believe that use of the Enneagram is a way to develop “soul wisdom.”

“I see the Enneagram as a wonderful way to recover the inner journey of Christianity,” says Rev. Scott Gould, rector at St. Andrew’s. “It is better than other personality assessment tools because it not only provides each person with an idea of their typology, but also provides each of us with a concrete focus for spiritual growth.”

“The Enneagram holds out the hope of wholeness for every person,” he said.”
