Fair Wage Commission

The Province of BC is holding hearings regarding Fair Wages.

This has arisen out of the issue of the increase in the minimum wage, what it needs to be and the timing of the raise.

Metro Vancouver Alliance’s Economic Justice Research Action Team will be making a presentation.

Is there anyone in one of our parishes earning the minimum wage at this time who could be in touch with me and outline their situation,

How does this low wage affect your life with the high costs of housing, food etc.

Any story will be kept confidential and the story will not be shared with any names attached.

Our diocese is a Sponsoring Organization of Metro Vancouver Alliance, a broad based organization working together for the common good.
