August 5th, 2012, was the hottest day of the year in the MVA and nothing likes heat more than a healthy vegetable garden.
The Garden to Table Ministry located at St. Dunstan, Aldergrove is a recipient of funding from our diocesan care+share ministry. Together, as a diocese we decide who to support with voluntary dollars and the donations given by individuals and parishes to care+share go 100 percent to the groups we support.
In Aldergrove food is grown in this Community Garden, prepared and cooked and shared with others.
The day before this photograph was taken (August 4th) of St. Dunstan’s incumbent , The Reverend Paul Guiton, the Garden to Table folks had spent the day working in partnership with Langley Environmental Partners Society to host the first of the Gardening 101 classes. The series of classes entitled Fall Gardening focused on how to design and develop a fall garden.
