Trick or treating at St. Mary’s, Kerrisdale is an annual tradition in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood. For the past five years, St. Mary’s has set up a tent out front of the Church and given out candy and hot chocolate. Last year we had over 80 trick-or-treaters come to visit us for hot chocolate, hot dogs, and nut-free treats. This year we had over 400 with the addition of lemonade to our menu, and spooky music provided by Susan Ohanessian!
With great volunteers (Michael and Linda Overholt, Marilyn Olson, Judith MacDonald, Jim Hilton, Graeme Wanhella, Phoebe Ng, and Raymond Wong), help from amazing staff (Kimberly Blair and John Taylor) and one of our Clergy (Liz Ruder-Celiz with Robin and kids + Grandpa in tow) we are blessed and overwhelmed by the wonderful turn out of costumes, kids, parents, grandparents, and dogs.
What a great way to support the neighbourhood and meet the neighbours!
We hope to see you next year.
