Many thanks to Sandra Vander Schaaf, artist-in-residence at St. Hildegard's Sanctuary for these beautiful photographs of the creation of the Holy Oils that will be distributed to parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster after they have been blessed by Bishop Skelton.
The Blessing of Holy Oils with Reaffirmation of Ordination and Baptismal Vows takes place at Christ Church Cathedral, 12:10pm, Tuesday, March 27.
Anointing oils were wildcrafted by Salal + Cedar Watershed Discipleship Community and St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary Community.

A fair trade Palestinian olive oil (Zatoun) was chosen for the base oil.
Please find attached below the info cards that were prepared to go with the oils when they are distributed to clergy following the March 27 liturgy, the bear details of the oils' ingredients.
