Beginning on August 6 and running for the week until August 11, the Ninth Indigenous Anglican Sacred Circle will take place at the University of Northern British Columbia campus in Prince George, B.C.
The latest gathering of the national decision-making body of Indigenous Anglicans will mark another step forward in the journey towards a self-determining Indigenous church within the Anglican Church of Canada. The theme of the event, Making and Strengthening Disciples: Reborn by Water and Spirit, reflects the key role of discipleship in achieving this long-cherished vision, guided by baptism in water and the Holy Spirit.
Indigenous Justice Ministry Coordinator for the Diocese of New Westminster Nii K'an Kwsdins - Jerry Adams will be in attendence.
When asked to share his feelings about attending the Sacred Circle, Jerry said:
"I am honoured to be representing the Diocese of New Westminster at the 2018 meeting of the Indigenous Sacred Circle in Prince George. The impact that establishing an Indigenous Anglican Church will have on the new relationship between our people and the Church will be amazing."
Please keep Jerry and all the delegates and participants at the Sacred Circle in your prayers.
