Movie Night is proud to present a Gala Evening of Glamour on Friday 3 July as part of the celebration of the 110th anniversary of St Paul's Church!

Curtis & Silmara will have an array of their cinematic publications, DVDs & movie-theatre-themed postcards available for purchase, with all funds going to the new equipment campaign! (this evening could very well be our final push over the fundraising mountain)

Plus:

-Local film history professor and movie critic Michael van den Bos will be returning to movie night once again to introduce and present a vintage cartoon in the style of the classic matinees of the past

-Local filmmakers Ross & Maria Munroe will be on hand to present 'Broken Palace,' their beautiful 7-minute documentary about the changing nature of Vancouver's cinematic landscape. 'Broken Palace' premiered at the 2014 Vancouver International Film Festival

-Silmara & Curtis will present their own documentary short 'Till We Meet Again,' which takes a wistful look at West Broadway's legendary Hollywood Theatre.

Not only all of that, but also…

-prepare for fun & challenge as Michael van den Bos joins forces with St Paul's very own maestro Michael Molnar to lead you through a rollicking, movie-themed round of 'Name that Tune'. Win fabulous prizes while enjoying excerpts from some of the greatest Tinseltown tunes and sweeping cinematic scores of the last century…and beyond!

No to mention the usual on-the-house popcorn, pizza and ice-cold beverages!

It is a Movie Night simply not be missed. If you've never joined us, this is the best possible night to honour us with your presence for the first time. If you're a regular, we can't wait to see again!

Gala Movie Night In the King's Hall, St Paul's (not in the Library this time, but in the hall itself).

Red Labyrinth Doors open at 6:45 for mingling, snacks & fun. The movie presentations start at 7:30pm.

Name that Tune at 8:30.

A splendid time is guaranteed for all!
