Nine year olds Anna Crone and Holly McIver, and Holly's 11 year-old sister Emma recently decided to raise money to help other children.

When their parents expressed concern about their initial plan to simply go door to door asking for donations, the girls decided that a bake sale would be just the thing.

Anna is a member of the congregation at St. Clement's in North Vancouver so, with the full support of the rector and wardens, they held their bake sale at coffee time after the December 2 service. Helping too was Rebecca Lunn.

Despite the snowy conditions, the girls were absolutely thrilled to raise $158.80 (not a single cookie left over!) which they will use to buy items from the World Vision catalogue for children in need. The girls want to thank the members of the church for their incredible generosity. They all plan to continue fundraising in the future.
