Friday, January 6th, 2012 the communications office received the following email from Father Steven Sikoti, Priest of Holy Cross Church, Chilomoni Parish, Malawi:
New Year greetings from Malawi.
I have been having problems attaching documents to my email but now I feel I have studied the Camera enough for me to shoot pictures that are email attachment friendly. Find attached our Christmas Day in pictures plus some other photos of our parish. I hope you will do the editing yourself.
I hope this year brings us even much more closer to each other than last year. I have quite a number of dreams for my parish and even in my own case I harbour a vision of pursuing a Masters Degree as long as I can get funding to study within Malawi. Please pray for me.
In the photos we see Father Steven wearing the Butterfly chasuble (to view photos of the Butterfly Chasuble being displayed please click the link to access the July 2011 story about the Malawi shipment) and acolytes wearing the cassocks and surplices that were part of the donations shipped from the Diocese of New Westminster last August. Also a brass crucifix donated by St. Timothy's , Burnaby is situated on the Altar.
The communications office has asked Father Steven to send us some higher resolution photos in the near future so we can print them in TOPIC.
