On February 21st, Shrove Tuesday, the Parish Support Ministries Staff of the Diocese of New Westminster: Program Coordinator, Bettina Gruver, Youth Ministry Coordinator, Phil Colvin and MAP Resource Associates, Tasha Carrothers and Marnie Peterson prepared a special Mardi Gras Pancake Breakfast for the Synod Staff. Communications Officer, Randy Murray mixed the batter and grilled the flapjacks, while Stewardship and Planned Giving Director, Glen Mitchell was in charge of the seasoned, ground pork products.
The sit down meal was served in the Conference Room at #580, 401 Georgia Street. The last time the staff shared a meal was December 21st, 2011, when Archdeacon Ronald Harrison hosted a Christmas luncheon for the Synod staff team. Since then, Ron has had major surgery and after some recovery time he returned to his ministry, February 13th. It was wonderful to be together and have Ron back with us. The Synod Staff wishes everyone in the D of NW a Holy Lent.
