On August 30, the Sunday morning following the August 29 windstorm that saw winds over 95 kilometres per hour and subsequently tens of thousands of lower mainland customers with no power, St. Timothy in Burnaby near Brentwood was pleased to open and offer hot drinks and sanctuary to the neighbours many (including the rector, the Reverend Stephanie Shepard) who were still without power.
