There are many things that we may have forgotten and there are some things that we have simply been overlooked
You are invited to attend two training sessions with the parishes of Holy Spirit and St. Oswald’s to keep us on the ‘spiritual cutting edge’ of knowledge in the Anglican Communion. We turn to liturgist and knowledge bearer in our diocese –the Venerable Richard Leggett, for guidance.
Archdeacon Leggett was Professor of Liturgical Studies at Vancouver School of Theology from 1987 to 2010 before returning to parish ministry. He is currently Vicar of Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Westminster and Archdeacon of Westminster. Archdeacon Leggett will present two 2-hour presentations on Zoom; Monday, September 19 and a week later on Monday, September 26. Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 7pm PDT.
Archdeacon Leggett says,
“In our first session we will look at historical, theological and pastoral dimensions of Christian Worship in the Anglican tradition, that will guide us in the planning and leading of Worship Services. In our second session we will look more closely at daily prayer (morning, mid-day and evening prayer) and the ministries of readers and intercessors."
