The Diocesan Task Force on Reconciliation will soon begin meetings with individuals and groups in an attempt to find ways to restore relationships within the diocese strained by differences over the blessing of same sex unions.
The Rev. Kevin Dixon, chair of the task force, said a "listening phase" in which the task force asks many open ended questions will precede a more structured attempt later to find out the specific concerns that people have. He said that the group intends to report to Diocesan Council by next April, and to Diocesan Synod in May. The task force was set up by the synod last spring.
Other members of the task force are Allan Carson of St. Cuthbert, Delta; Margaret Jonssen of St. Agnes, North Vancouver, and Muriel Kerr of All Saints, Ladner.
