Like every other parish we are re-imagining what it means to be the church when we can't physically gather in our building for worship, fellowship, and Christian formation. We launched a podcast, which we have unsurprisingly called "The St George's Podcast" on Victoria Day, with an aim to have conversation about Life, Faith and Church.
In the first episode David Edgerton and Roxanne Bruendl are in conversation about Church during COVID-19. They discuss a variety of topics including Daily Prayer on Facebook Live, Sunday Youtube services, pastoral contact, when church building might be reopened and what it means to be Anglican.
Future weekly episodes will include conversation around church growth, how we interact with culture, how we stay relevant. We'll also be featuring special guests who are connected with our community or can illuminate the conversation in some way.
We’d love to know what you’d like to hear about on the podcast so please send us a message with your questions and ideas. They might be specific to our parish - or to Anglican churches - or indeed any churches or the Christian life. We plan to release a new episode every week.
You can find The St George's Podcast on all the major podcast apps, or head to our website to have a look. Episode 1 runs for 20 minutes.
