Sixty visitors from dioceses across North America spent a day at Christ Church Cathedral last month.
They had been among about 200 attending the annual conference of North American Deans in the Anglican Church of Canada and the Episcopal Church of the USA in Victoria, and New Westminster's Dean Peter Elliott invited them to spend an extra day in Vancouver.
The visitors, deans and their spouses or partners, joined in worship, lunch, workshops and reception with dinner at the Cathedral. Members of the Cathedral Chapter assisted in hospitality, as did many parishioners, and Bishop Michael Ingham preached at the noontime Eucharist. The deans were treated to a Chinese lunch and evening dinner.
