Refugees Becoming Neighbours, an interactive evening of stories from Canadians who have welcomed individuals who have lived the refugee journey.
Who should attend this event?
YMCA Childcare Career Exploration (Free) – 10 week course designed to expand and professional network and provide volunteer placements for those working or interested in working in the childcare centers.
o When: Begins on September 23rd (until December 9th 2017),

YMCA Citizenship Preparation and Participation Course (Free) – For Permanent Resident Only; weekly course with group discussions and presentations on the Discover Canada Study Guide.
o When: Begins on September 29th (until December 1st, 2017)
o Frequency and Time: Every Friday from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
o Where: Blenz Coffee Building B at Vancouver Community College (VCC)

YMCA Conversations for Success: Discussion on Working in Canada (Free) – Weekly course will be conducted by trained facilitators on Workplace Culture, getting Canadian Experience, and Workplace Communication

o Frequency and Time: Every Saturday mornings from 10:30am – 12:30pm

Her Everyday Resilience (H.E.R.) Multicultural Women’s Group.
o A drop-in group that is held once a month from September to March (except December) for multicultural women who have experienced violence in relationships in their past or present. It’s free and confidential.
NUYU Youth Program
o Through theatre exercises and games, participants gradually create scenes which reflect their personal life challenges. The program creates a space for youth to collectively come up with positive solutions to the challenges presented in the scenes by their peers
