The Anglican tradition since its earliest days has seen the value of praying with Scripture on a daily basis. Taken from the monastic practice of regular times of prayer in the midst of work and rest, the Divine Offices are intended to assist us in remembering who we are as Christian people in our day-to-day lives. We are people shaped by the stories of Scripture, surrounded by the voice of the psalms and moving through life praying with others in the Church for the life of the world.

The accompanying attachment below is a recent publication of paintings by Michael Cook with text by Rosalind O'Melia suggested by the monastic Hours of the Day.
