The Season of Creation is right around the corner! It begins in September and runs through the feast of St. Francis in October. Scroll down to find some resources to help you plan meaningful liturgies during that month. ALSO, remember that we can honor our grandmother Earth all year long: a blessing of crops and gardens on a Rogation Day, an Advent series on Creation Care, a lament for the climate crisis during Lent.
The bishop has approved the following liturgical resources for the Season of Creation:
Season of Creation resources (ECUSA) - includes lectionary, collects, eucharistic prayer, litanies, music suggestions for Year A
Additional liturgical resources for Season of Creation - collects, intercessions, confession, blessing
Salal and Cedar, the diocesan watershed discipleship ministry, shares a locally rooted eucharistic prayer.

Many other dioceses in North America are also working to respond to the climate crisis. Check out the Diocese of Niagara here in Canada, or the Diocese of California, whose bishop, Marc Andrus, serves on the advisory committee for the SOC.
Also, last month, four representives from our diocese attended a North American conference of APLM -- Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission -- which this year is focused on the Climate Emergency. The following is a list of ideas, prayers, and music resources compiled by one of the partner churches in this project that you may use to help with with your SOC planning.
