Saving Our Planet: Faith in Action II is a multi-faith event focused on the climate crisis and its impact on our planet. The event builds on the success of our previous events in 2021 and 2022 and is co-hosted with partners at Metro Vancouver Alliance. The event aims to bring together diverse faith communities to take action on climate change and address related issues like climate justice and environmental racism.

Climate crisis (including climate justice and environmental racism), new technologies to combat climate change, youth mental health and well-being
Our vision is to empower young environmental leaders and bring together diverse faith communities to take collective action on the climate crisis. We aim to raise awareness about the impact of climate change and promote new technologies to combat it. Our mission is to address the root causes of the climate crisis and support youth mental health and well-being.
The climate crisis is one of the greatest challenges facing our planet, and its impact is felt by people around the world, particularly those in marginalized communities. According to a report by the United Nations, one million species are at risk of extinction due to the impact of human activities on the environment. The report also states that global greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced by 45% by 2030 in order to prevent a catastrophic climate change.
The impact of climate change on mental health and well-being is also a growing concern, particularly for young people. Climate anxiety and eco-grief are increasingly common among youth, and there is a need for more resources and support to address these issues.
