There are a number of different ministries operating for youth and children in the Diocese of New Westminster; and you can find information about all of them in these pages.
Diocesan wide initiatives and events for youth are coordinated by the Diocesan Youth Movement, a unit formed by youth and youth leaders from around the Lower Mainland. The DYM organize diocesan wide initiatives and opportunities for training and equipping children's and youth leaders.
Many individual parishes operate ministries among young people. There are also groups operating ministries which are open to all youth in the diocese, such as Camp Artaban, Sorrento Centre and the British Columbia and Yukon Anglican Youth Movement (BCYAYM).
The Rev. Jessica Schaap, Missioner for Christian Formation supports and extends children and youth ministry throughout the diocese. As well as telling you more about any of the ministries and resources on this site, she can help to support your leadership in Christian formation among young people in whichever context you’re involved in.
