Holy Week formation at home
This year, many, if not all of us, will be observing the most important week in the Christian calendar in our homes again. Please find two print-and-go resources appropriate for households during Holy Week. Each offers meaningful actions that are accessible to and appropriate for young children, school aged kids, youth and young adults (and beyond!). Feedback from families has been very positive, including adult households. They can be used on their own or adapted for use with online parish gatherings.
1. Holy Week booklet from Salt Project
Salt Project offers a devotional bringing two streams of Christian tradition together: the Advent wreath and Tenebrae’s extinguishing of lights to explore the mysteries of Holy Week. Create a wreath together, gather candles, then pray, read and sing in this simple devotional. Parishioners have used it at home on their own or used it online together as a congregation. If you would like booklets for your parish families or other households, please let me know the number you need and I will print and mail them out to you at no cost. I have 500 copies available.

2. Triduum at Home – Cards
Brief and simple faith activities to do at home. Here you will find 3 tangible practices (Washing feet/hands; Making a Cross; Easter eggs) and lovely reflection questions for easy and meaningful family discussion--no matter what the ages. The 3 cards are downloadable, editable, and printable for your parish needs. Can be used on their own at home or adapted for use together online with other parishioners.
