Along with the four Legal Officers (a minimum of two attend Council meetings) who are appointed, the bishop also has the prerogative to appoint an additional two members. And, two more members chosen from amongst the 6 Regional Archdeacons, Diocesan Dean, Executive Archdeacon and Archdeacon for Deacons. The 9 Archdeacons make the selection of the 2 who will serve on DC for the next two year term.
The Archdeacons who will serve on Diocesan Council 2023-2025 will be the Venerable Stephanie Shepard and the Venerable Stephen Muir.
The Chairs of the two principal Standing Committees; Finance and Property (F&P) and Mission and Ministry Development (MMD) are also Members of Diocese Council. Chair of Finance and Property is the Treasurer, Bob Hardy and the Chair of MMD, the newly acclaimed Clergical Secretary, the Reverend Andrew Halladay.
